A leading planning and development, energy and environmental management consultancy with over 3,200 staff is currently recruiting for a Team Leader GIS role in Oxford. Applicants must have:
At least four years experience in using Geographical Information Systems in a commercial environment, to lead and manage the GIS Team.
Practical experience in the creation, presentation, analysis, interoperability and management of spatial data is essential, along with an appreciation for metadata and data storage policies.
The desire for continual improvement and development in the use of GIS is important.
Experience of mapping portals (in particular ArcIMS) design and implementation is desirable.
Formal qualifications in GIS to MSc level would be an advantage.
The Oxford Office, has 60 staff specialising in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), ecology, archaeology, landscape design, visual assessment and town planning for infrastructure and urban development projects.
